Homemade Veggie Wash

One of my favorite household items is white vinegar. It has so many uses and it is very cheap. A vinegar wash is the most effective ways to clean your produce. It is incredibly simple (just what I need). There is a good chance your produce is dirty.

Add one part vinegar to three parts water.  I am cleaning my grapes before I make raisins.

Yuck! Look at how dirty that water is.

Cleaning your produce is a very simple and easy thing you can do to make your food safer.

I came across an article on the NPR website. They did a test about using vinegar to clean your vegetables and found it to work the best.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing this. I just purchased a veggie wash from the store and thought as I paid $6 for it, "I bet I can make this at home"
