How do you potty train?

Ike is 27 months old now and finally starting to potty train.  He has been using his potty chair or whatever resembled a potty chair for the past few months. The potty chair broke so I had to get Ike to use the toilet. I told him I wanted to hear what his pee sounds like when it hits the water.  He thought that was funny and he finally went. Yes! I was so excited.

I thought this would be a good time to reward him with stickers. What two year old doesn't like stickers?   Ike gets stars for peeing and big Thomas stickers for pooping. It has been working. It makes Ike's day to be able to put a sticker on the sheet. Sorry about the sideways picture.

After Ike's sticker page started filling up we went to the store and bought him super hero underwear. He thinks they are really cool because Superman has a cape.
We have been doing good and not to many accidents. I am looking forward to washing 1/2 the diapers.

What do you do to encourage potty training on the "big" toilet.

Ugh, I wish I new the trick for my boy. He is just over three and potty training still seems a mile away!

It worked good for a couple of weeks. Now some days he is just a little to busy for the potty :(
